PAID Orthopaedic Surgery Scribe & Research Fellowship (2026–2027)
For Medical Students Pursuing Orthopaedic Surgery Residency
This is a 1-year, paid, in-person Orthopaedic Surgery Scribe & Research Fellowship designed for 3rd and 4th year medical students interested in Orthopaedic Surgery, including applicants who went unmatched.
Fellows will work directly and daily with a current Orthopaedic Surgery Program Director and Orthopaedic Surgery residents in both the clinic and operating room.

Dates: April 1, 2026 – April 1, 2027
This position offers a rare opportunity for close mentorship, clinical immersion, and meaningful research involvement within an academic orthopaedic surgery program.
Responsibilities
- Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with corticosteroid injections, bracing, splinting, and casting
- Participate in daily resident didactics and fracture conference
- Shadow in the orthopaedic clinic and operating room
- Engage in clinical research with opportunities for conference abstracts, podium presentations, and peer-reviewed publications (based on performance)

Requirements
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Prior scribe experience preferred but not required (e.g., ScribeAmerica)
- US MD/DO students preferred; US-IMG students are also encouraged to apply
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
